Two folded maps in pocket with titles: Soil rating map of the Rycroft and Watino sheets, and: Soil map of the Rycroft and Watino sheets. Listed as both: Research Council of Alberta report no. 56 and Alberta soil survey. Provides an inventory of the soil resources in the Rycroft and Watino regions of the Peace River area of Alberta.

The properties of the surface and subsoil of the various soil series are described. The first part of each description deals with the characteristics by which the soil may be recognized, while the second part discusses the soil in relation to agriculture.

The soil survey of the Rycroft and Watino areas was a joint project with the Research Council of Alberta, the Dominion Department of Agriculture and the University of Alberta. This report is based on the information from soil surveys conducted in the Rycroft and Watino areas during the summers ofand Soil Survey of the Rycroft and Watino SheetsRocky Mountain House Sheet.

The Field Book summarizes the present science and art of describing and documenting soils and soilscapes in the USA. The intended audience is professionals who describe soils for various purposes. The Field Book includes key descriptors, conventions, and concepts from soil science and geomorphology to facilitate field observations and soil documentation.

Digital soil mapping can be used to create initial soil survey maps, refine or update existing soil surveys, generate specific soil interpretations, and assess risk (Carré et al., ).

It can facilitate the rapid inventory, re-inventory, and project-based management of lands in a changing environment. Exploratory soil survey of Alberta map sheets 84C (east half), 84B, 84A and 74D EXP 59 - 1 Exploratory soil survey of Alberta map sheets 84D (north half), 84E, 84F and 84G.
